Decisions, Decisions...Which do you like?

I needed to find two photographs to go in two frames for a client's entry way console table.  I turned to Etsy, of course.  Etsy is a fantastic place to find inexpensive fine photography.  I was looking for something botanical - mostly, and something predominantly in aqua blues and greens.  I fell in love with a close-up of the center of a blue flower (shown in the center of the collage).  I am still deciding on what other photo I want to place with it.  I think I've narrowed it down to a couple of my favorites....Which do YOU like with it?

  1. All very pretty images. I think my favorite to compliment your flower photo is the dandelion on the bottom (6)

  2. They are all so beautiful! I love 1,3,7 & 10. I would especially choose 7 if green was a color to incorporate. How fun- I bet it will turn out great. I love Etsy! :) Thanks for stopping by my blog today- it led me to yours. :)

  4. I think I'd have to say it's a toss up between 6,7 and 8. Really I don't think you could go wrong with any of these. I'm dying to know which you chose.

  5. I love them all, but I would choose number 4. Simply because it balances the focal point of the other picture. :)

  6. Love love love #6- I think the softness compliments the edges of the first one, and the color echo the other with out being "matchy"! The approximate same focal length holds them together as a pair.

  7. I think number 6. Just the right touch of similar color, without being too much

  8. I like 6 as it mimics the shape without being shiny like the bubbles and smaller in size so your main photo won't be smothered and lost just accentuated!

  9. I love #6, as well. Very soft and beautiful, and I think it would compliment the first photo very well.

  10. I vote for number 6 too!..............it's super awesome,definitely go for it:)

  11. I agree, #6 is the way to go. The two photos compliment each other by being so different, each adding to the impact of the other and the blue being the common color unites them.

  12. #6 is my pick! The subtle hint of blue pulls perfectly with the main pick without it being overwhelming. They compliment each other nicely!

  13. Number 6. It picks up the color and suggests the circular imagery without repeating it. Very subtle, interesting compliment to the center photo. Lovely photograph.

  16. I also love number 6. It is the perfect match to the original photo. It is the definitely best choice.

  17. Definitely #6 in my book!! The perfect compliment to the other one.

  18. three prints would be more zen ;)

6 and 9 would be my choices...

    6 because of the softness

9 because of the juxtaposition of the distance.

but really... all the choices are great.

My Favorite Way to Hide Toys in My Family Room

We were is desperate need of something to hide toys in our family room.  In addition, I really needed something to go along the back our loveseat.  Below, is basically the view you get when you walk into our home.  I didn't want people to walk in & the first thing they see is the bare back of our loveseat. One day, I was meandering around TJ Maxx & spotted this cute storage ottoman.  Right away, I knew it needed to come home with me! It has proved to be a fantastic purchase for us!  My kids can easily get toys in & out of it.  It is also a very convenient place to sit & put your shoes on before heading out the door.  In addition, it can easily be moved around to the main sitting area if extra seating is ever needed. You KNOW you have made a good purchase when your husband has said TWICE, "Melissa, buying that ottoman was a really good idea."  Need some other ideas on how to hide toys?   Cute baskets/bo...
