I just wanted to share a dining room transformation! Here is the 'After' Shot. The great thing about this transformation is that it only took a few changes to really make it shine! We picked out a graphic and bold fabric for new custom drapery panels.  We kept the same drapery rod and hardware.  In addition, we also selected a new wool looped rug to replace the oriental one that my client had grown tired of.  The last major change, was the paint color. Changing the wall color to a beautiful gray really helped to brighten the space.  The same gray color was already in the foyer and living room, so painting the dining room the same color really helped with flow. My client did a great job finding new lamps and mirror to replace the old. This is what the room liked like before. And again here is the after!

Here is a dining room makeover I recently completed.  I also made over the family room (along with other rooms still to be revealed) that I posted about here . As I mentioned in my earlier post, my client just wanted to make their home more welcoming and comfortable without spending a million bucks, as they will most likely only be in this home for a few more years.   We did not do any painting and they already had all their major furnishing for the space. I'll be honest, I was a little worried about what I was to come up with the burgundy dining chairs!  But, somehow it all seemed to come together. I recently completed helping a client decorate their home.  I posted some of the design boards I put together for them here .  My clients will most likely only be in this home for a few more years, but they did want to make their home more comfortable and welcoming.  They already had all their furniture pieces and we did not do any painting.  What I love about this project is that it shows how you can spice up a space just with adding new accessories, art, a rug, and window treatments. I have a good friend and client who recently needed some design help. He didn't need that much in-depth help just a few pointers in the right direction and then he would take it from there. An 1 hr. design consultation was perfect for his needs. His style is a mix of traditional and modern furnishing for a more eclectic feel. This was his kitchen. It was nice, but needed a little updating. We talked about installing a new tile back splash, new granite counter tops, refacing the cabinetry and the color selection. This is an upstairs bedroom that he wanted to use as relaxing area and library. We didn't do too much in this space, I suggested painting the wood work white for a fresh look and installing new roman shades. He purchased the Stressless recliner from San Francisco Design in SLC.
