Guest Post : A Corner of My Room

Hi! I'm Trissta of Living on the Chic. I'm so excited about sharing a corner of my master bedroom with you today! My goal at Living on the Chic, is to decorate my home with as little money as possible. If you check out my space, you can see my living room, dining area, my guest room (which just got moved to a smaller room), and many of my other projects! I'm so excited to share my latest with you.

I picked up this chair years ago and reupholstered it in this great damask material... Love it still! The ottoman was picked up a thrift shop for $6. I added a Brom poster on the wall and a small magazine rack (that I picked up at Salvation Army for $.50) to hold my reading material... On top, I have a small desk lamp with another giant clam shell as a catch-all. The drift wood I picked up as a souvenir from my trip to Caples Lake, California.

My Favorite Way to Hide Toys in My Family Room

We were is desperate need of something to hide toys in our family room. In addition, I really needed something to go along the back our loveseat. Below, is basically the view you get when you walk into our home. I didn't want people to walk in & the first thing they see is the bare back of our loveseat. One day, I was meandering around TJ Maxx & spotted this cute storage ottoman. Right away, I knew it needed to come home with me! It has proved to be a fantastic purchase for us! My kids can easily get toys in & out of it. It is also a very convenient place to sit & put your shoes on before heading out the door. In addition, it can easily be moved around to the main sitting area if extra seating is ever needed. Elegant Dining Room Makeover

I had the pleasure of helping a local client decorate their dining room. The space was pretty plain and lacked personality. I knew it had possibilities with those tall ceilings and beautiful arched windows. (Before) My client was very budget conscientious so I did not go over board on decor. I was very thoughtful of the decor I suggested and made sure the items we put in the space really made a 'wow' statement. This is the mood board I put together for my client to show the decor that I thought would look gorgeous in the space. My clients' liked everything, with exception of the chandelier. They were not in love with the one I selected and it was a little too expensive. As a replacement, I found this chandelier that I think was even more perfect for the space.
